Family Aquatic Center Closer Then You Think

I can not believe that the Tri-Cities does not have a Family Aquatic Center. I don't understand, as hot as it gets here, with all the people? I just do not get it! However, if you don't mind a little drive, there is one close.

Pendleton is not a very far from those of us in the Tri-Cities. The Family Aquatic Center has a pool, kiddie area, and some slides. The best part is the prices. 2 and under are free, ages 3-17 are $3.00 and 17-adult is only $4.00. Now, here comes the part I love. You can bring in all your own food and beverages as long as no glass! That makes your day so cheap! Makes having to drive there well worth it. Another great part, the kids will be so tired from a fun filled day, they will sleep on the way home anyway!
So, take a drive to Pendleton. Enjoy the view on the way, and then have a blast with your family in the water park. Don't forget the sunscreen!! Oh, and here is the website so you know where to go! http://www.pendletonparksandrec.com/aquatic

RICHLAND -- A baby mammoth will soon be on display in Kennewick.

The life-sized replica will be unveiled Saturday morning around 11 at the Columbia Center Mall.

The real skeleton is believed to be from the smallest mammoth ever discovered.

The mammoth is a sneak peak at what will be offered at the new Hanford Reach Interpretive Center in Richland.

Reach Director Kimberly Camp said getting the replica is very exciting.

"When I first found this and came back and said I think it would be a good idea to bring that here, there was so much excitement about and what it could mean" said Camp.

Children are encouraged to enter a "Name The Baby" contest.

The reach is planning to have a full-size replica of an adult male Columbian Mammoth skeleton in the center's great hall when it opens.
