The Ducks Need Fed!

I don't know about your family, but we don't eat the ends from the bread loaf. Yes, we waste bread. Well, at least we used to. Now we feed the ducks at Columbia Park. Its free, and kids love it. Unless of course they are scared of the ducks crowding in on them.



I now keep a bag in my freezer, and throw all the bread ends into the bag as we come to them. When the bag gets full, we take a trip to the park and the kids love it! It doesn't take very long to stop in there. If you hold still, the ducks will come eat right out of your hand.



Even the Seagals are fun. When a piece of bread is thrown up into the air, they swoop right in and catch it mid air. The kids love that as well. I like to swing in there as the last stop of errand running. Not that I bribe my kids to be good, but you could say "If you're good, we will stop and feed the ducks." My kids are always perfectly behaved without having to be bribed.



So, this is my first cheap summer activity. Get to saving your bread ends, and go feed so ducks.
